Overview

L-Glutathione, a tripeptide compound formed by the condensation of glutamate, cysteine, and glycine through peptide bonds, is the most important low-molecular thiol in mammalian cells against oxidative stress. It was discovered in 1921. Reduced L-glutathione (GSH) is an important intracellular substance consisting of glutamate, cysteine, and glycine and contains sulfhydryl groups.

 

L-Glutathione Reduced is a substance naturally present in cells, it is a reduced form of glutathione. Glutathione is capable of preventing damage to important cellular components caused by reactive oxygen species such as free radicals, peroxides, lipid peroxides, and heavy metals. An antioxidant, glutathione plays several roles in the body, such as anti-oxidation and immune regulation. Glutathione is also used to lighten skin and fight the visible signs of aging.
