At the same time, it has the advantages of convenient application and less incompatibilities.Previously tetracyclines were used for a variety of common infections, including bacterial gastroenteritis, pneumonia and urinary tract infections. However, numerous strains of bacteria causing these infections now are resistant and other agents have mostly superseded tetracyclines.
